Being so fussy and neurotic about infractions, it was too obvious that Chancha was an undercover agent, so her boss persuaded her to adopt the nickname "Calié" in order to make the other boxers believe that she was just very involved in her "police kayfabe".
Chancha is a naval academy graduate with extensive self-defense training. However, her delicate stomach ended her military career after she vomited on a lieutenant during her first embarkation, and she was relegated to a prosecutor's office. When her sister was arrested for a crime tied to GUAVISA, Chancha vowed to expose the real criminals at that company. It wasn't until GUAVISA merged with the WVBA that Chancha's boss allowed her to infiltrate the sinister boxing association, provided she took her Pepto-Bismol.

Fun fact: As a child, she was possessed by Santa Martha and had to be exorcised.
Carnitas Clarita: Years ago, Clarita basked in the fame and glory of boxing, while Chancha could barely see blood without getting dizzy. Even so, she moved heaven and earth to ensure Clarita's imprisonment was dignified (including access to the kitchen), convinced of her sister's innocence. Clarita insists that the thirteen years in the can flew by; that Chancha should abandon her delusions of authority and get a quieter job, but what she doesn't understand is that Chancha's thirst for justice is greater than King Hippo's hunger.
Frank Jr.: Despite loving his frail cousin, Frank Jr. is loyal to the WVBA for having made him a famous arm wrestler in his glory days. Therefore, he often "accidentally" hinders Chancha's investigation. She also suspects him, as she was always disturbed by how complacent he was while Clarita served her sentence...

WVBA: Chancha has tried to maintain a "strictly professional" relationship with the other boxers so as not to compromise her investigation, but that didn't stop feelings from blossoming for Glass Joe after he agreed to be interrogated at a cheap New York pizzeria. For her, it was the most romantic afternoon she's had in fifteen years, and she privately wonders if Joe felt the same.
