She's based off one of Punch-Out's Arm wrestling rival,
Alice
& Ape III. In my shabby timeline, she grew up and revamped her robot pal into the perfect coach, accidentally neglecting the physical
training itself.
Despite being an outstanding mechanic engineer, Alicia went down the sporty path simply because she likes it, even without being the most fit for it.
As a result, she's pursuing a master's degree in sports engineering which includes robotics, data analytics,
getting punched in the face and serving coffee to the WVBA's top brass.
After visiting the USA for the first time, Alicia developed a crush for american boys with rhythm, and got her latest patent almost
stolen thanks to the lies of a stock broker.
While her contralto voice and mellow demeanor may make seem composed, the elitism in her workplace and her father's
expectations caused her cortisol levels to skyrocket. Ape suggests that she channels
her stress by destroying her enemies with a laser beam, but Alicia insists that getting wasted and shopping help enough.
Likes: FEMTO-ITX motherboards, Pet Shop Boys, Juha Mieto.
Dislikes: River Plate, turros, american saunas.
Fun fact: Her tango is much, much better than her boxing.
Ape IV: As a child, Alicia considered Ape the only friend she had, but she's learned to step out her social bubble as she grew older. Even now though, Ape is only kind and cooperative to his creator despite being programmed as a "friend to all". He exclusively speaks finnish so that Alicia's new friends can't step into their convos.
[♂] Little Mac: Before joining the WVBA, Alicia's been following Mac's journey closely. Now that she's able to contact him directly, she occasionally asks him to aid her with her engineering demos, which suits him just fine because he secretly has a thing for tall, tech-savvy blondes.
[♀] Little Mag: Mag is more inclined to fight a doomsday device like Ape rather than Alicia, even if it breaks her contractual obligation to box against any living being on the ring. Her Samus Aran-esque infatuation might still linger.
Rory Ryan: What started as Rory picking on Alicia for being a wimp blossomed into a friendship, after the latter accidentally smashed Rory's nose with a volleyball. They bonded over being the youngest athletes at their division, listening to latin pop, and sharing rancid flash videos via infrared. It is only with Rory that Alicia can comfortably bring her snarky side out.
WVBA: Since she entered to the association, Alicia has had an unrequired
crush on Disco Kid (alas, he's only in love with himself). She also went back and forth getting boxig advice from the two Minor Circuit
licensed teachers: Von Kaiser and Glass Joe, though it was mainly due to Ape being in alpha. Alicia doesn't have the
heart to tell the "old men" that their methods might be a little outdated.
As for her masters, Super Macho Man and Arm Candy (heads of male and female divisions) sometimes snatch her up for free
engineering and secretary work. While she knows that experience and recs doesn't pay bills, Alicia's just waiting for the next handsomely paid gig.
The Pelkuri-Santos family: Alicia’s mother is from Neuquén, while her father, Mario Santtu Pelkuri, is a Finn
with a murky past and an obscure job that involves meeting up with his three coworkers and vanishing for indefinite periods;
they call themselves Simulaattorit.
Recognizing his daughter’s engineering talent, Mario pushed Alicia academically, ensuring she was admitted to the University of Oulu
at just sixteen years old. The leap from being a third-world schoolgirl to a first-world university student was very stressful for her,
though she at least had the remastered Ape by her side and a solid grasp of Finnish.
After graduating, she shared her plans to become a professional boxer with her father, but he made no effort
to hide his disappointment. Now Alicia faces the threat of being sent back to Argentina to work in biomedicine if she loses another fight.
