¡Bienvenidos!
Este es un proyecto de ilustración/cómic donde diseño un nuevo elenco de personajes para el universo de Punch-Out Wii, incluyendo presentaciones y sprites al estilo del juego. A pesar de estar fuertemente influenciadas por esta franquicia, las Boxing Gorls (como las llamé informalmente y ahora se me quedó el nombre) son muy versátiles y no se limitan a ningún medio o universo. Eso se debe a que son simplemente morras que practican deportes, con todo tipo de historias propias.
También debo aclarar que, aunque mis personajes están vinculados a un juego para toda la familia, ¡mi arte no lo es! Mis cómics contienen violencia, desnudez artística y temas para adultos, así que, al viborear mis dibujos, ¡confirmas que eres mayor de edad o tienes guía parental!
En resumen: BOXING GORLS es una versión alternativa de Punch-Out un poco más expandida, desquiciada y con un toque femenino. Personajes del canon pueden ser aplicables.
¿Por qué "BOXING GORLS"?
Me comenzó a interesar Punch-Out cuando estaba viendo vídeos en YouTube y me topé con un gameplay de la versión de Wii. Era demasiado absurdo como para no dibujar algo al respecto, así que en septiembre de 2021, creé este askblog en Tumblr con la hermana de uno de los antagonistas. Todavía no sé por qué me sentí tan tentada a crear un diseño para un personaje cuya existencia solo se insinuaba en dos frases (si tuviera un centavo por cada vez que eso pasó... tendría dos. Que no es mucho, pero bla, bla, bla, ¡¡¡ESTOY LOCA!!!). Así es el arte.
Más tarde, mi gusto por Punch-Out evolucionó en un interés por los deportes de combate (si no fuera por este juego, probablemente no me habría metido en el judo en la vida real, así que estoy agradecida aunque sea malísima), y un posterior deseo de dibujar sobre ello. Así, la hermana creció, hice este póster de prueba para una hipotética división femenina allá por 2022, y nacieron las BOXING GORLS.
¿Dónde está Little Mac?
En esta versión, Mac a veces será un chico (Little Mac) o una chica (Little Mag) dependiendo de la historia que quiera contar. Originalmente iba a mantener a Mac como vato luchando de alguna manera en la división femenina, pero luego decidí que sería divertido tener una Mac muchacha para eso. Los personajes en mis obras tienden a tener presentaciones fluidas, como esa mi Aran Ryan sinaloense que hice hace un tiempo por los jajas.

This is an illustration/comic project where I design a new character roster for the Punch-Out Wii universe, including flashcards and sprites in the style of the game. Despite being heavily influenced by it, the Boxing Gorls (as I've called them offhandedly and now it stuck) are very versatile and not restricted to any media or universe. That's because they're just chicks who do sports, with all sorts of stories of their own.
I must also clarify that even though my characters are linked to a family-friendly game, my art isn't! My comics feature violence, artistic nudity, and mature themes, so by snooping around you confirm that you're an adult or have parental guidance!
TL;DR: BOXING GORLS is a slightly more unhinged PUNCH-OUT AU sprinkled with blood and girliness. Canon dudes applicable.why boxing gorls?
I got into Punch-Out back when I was scrolling through youtube and stumbled upon a gameplay of the Wii version. It was too absurd to not draw something about it, so in september 2021, I made this askblog on tumblr that featured one of the antagonists' sister. I still don't know why I felt so compelled to create a design for a character whose existence was only implied in two voicelines (if I had a nickel for every time that happened... I'd have two. Which isn't a lot but yada, yada, yada, I'm CRAAAZY!!!). So is the way of art.
Later on my love for Punch-Out evolved into an interest for combat sports (if it wasn't for this game, I probably wouldn't have gotten into judo in real life, so I am thankful even if I suck), and a subsequent desire to draw about it. Thus, the sister was aged up, I did this mock-up poster for a hypothetical female division back in 2022, and the BOXING GORLS were born.
Where's Little Mac??
In this iteration, Mac sometimes will be a guy or a gorl depending on what story I wanna tell. I originally was gonna stick with dude Mac somehow fighting in the female division, but I later decided that it'd be fun to have a gorl Mac for that instead. Characters in my works tend to have fluid presentations, such as that one mexican wrestler Aran Ryan depiction I made a while back for laffs.
